ABOUT THE PROGRAM

Prepare to be captivated by the groundbreaking production, “This World is a Garden,” a breathtaking fusion of art, music, and storytelling, coming to Chabad of Islip on June 25th.

Through stunning visuals and the mesmerizing live performance of a string quartet, this one-of-a-kind experience brings to life a three-hundred-year-old vision: to see the world through divine eyes— as G‑d’s garden.

At the heart of this masterpiece is the story of a farmer, steadfastly tending to his cherished patch of earth. Across the passage of time, his tale unfolds as a testament to hope, perseverance, and an unyielding connection to a higher purpose.

The production features seven evocative short films, each exploring a key theme from the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s teachings—an illuminating vision of the world as a sacred garden. Every film transitions seamlessly into a soul-stirring Niggun melody.

These Niggunim, specially arranged for this program by Maestro Israel Edelson, are brought to life by the hauntingly beautiful strings of the quartet, led by Maestro Cellist Paul Finkelstein, weaving together centuries of tradition with a modern, emotional resonance.

“This World is a Garden” is more than a performance—it is an invitation to see, feel, and experience the world as a place of profound beauty and meaning.
