Sale of Chametz

As you may know, one of the primary Mitzvot of Passover is the prohibition of owning Chametz -leavened food material- during the Holiday.

As a service to you, we will be happy to sell your Chametz before Passover, so even though it may physically be in your home, the places where the Chametz is will be legally not owned by you.

If you have not yet sold your Chametz and wish to use our services, please authorize us to sell your Chametz.

KNOW YE that I/we, the sender of this form, fully empower and permit Rabbi Shimon Stillerman to act in my place, and on my behalf to sell all Chametz possessed by me (knowingly or unknowingly) as defined by the Torah and Rabbinic Law (e.g. Chametz that tends to harden and to adhere to inside surfaces of pans, pots or cooking and eating utensils, and all kinds of live animals that have been eating Chametz or mixtures thereof.) And to lease all places wherein the Chametz owned by me may be found.

Rabbi Shimon Stillerman has the full right to sell and to lease by transactions, as he deems fit and proper and for such time which he believes necessary in accordance with all detailed forms as explained in the general authorization contract which have been given this year to Rabbi Shimon Stillerman to sell the Chametz.

This general authorization is made a part of this agreement. Also do I hereby give the said Rabbi Shimon Stillerman full power and authority to appoint a substitute in his stead with full power to sell and to lease as provided herein. The above given power is in conformity with all Torah, Rabbinical regulations and laws, and also in accordance with laws of the State of New York and of the United States.
